Festival Pass+ and Festival Pass+ Smart

For this year's anniversary edition, we are offering two new types of digital passes that allow you to reserve tickets online before you arrive in Karlovy Vary. Both passes are available in limited quantities, and applications must be submitted exclusively through your user profile on the website www.kviff.com. Applications for both Festival Pass+ options have been open on Monday, May 18, 2026.

Festival Pass+ (entire festival)

July 3–11

This pass is designed for the biggest film enthusiasts who want to be with us from the opening ceremony all the way to the awards ceremony. It offers the ultimate convenience of digital reservations for the entire 9 days.

A digital festival pass for the entire festival, delivered to your user account with the option to download it to your Wallet.
Advance booking – the option to book tickets from home before arriving at the festival.
Otherwise, the same functionality as the classic festival pass.
Access to digital gifts and partner offers.

Festival Pass+ Smart (excluding the first festival weekend)

July 6–11

This pass is designed for film enthusiasts who know it's "smart" to attend the festival after the first weekend. You'll avoid the biggest crowds in theaters and long lines, and enjoy all the benefits from Monday, July 6, all the way to the closing ceremony on Saturday, July 11, 2026. It offers the ultimate convenience of digital reservations for the entire 6 days.

A digital festival pass for the second half of the festival, delivered to your user account with the option to download it to your Wallet.
Advance booking – the option to book tickets from home before arriving at the festival.
Full functionality – the same benefits as with the classic festival pass.
Access to digital gifts and partner offers.

3 free films per day: Entitlement to up to three tickets for three different screenings each day.
Digital accreditation delivered to your account (with the option to add it to Apple/Google Wallet)
Convenient ticket reservations: Reserve your tickets from home via the Vodafone KVIFF Guide app.
Closer to filmmakers: Free admission to KVIFF Talks and official press conferences at Thermal (unless the room is filled by accredited journalists).
Free transport around Karlovy Vary: Unlimited rides on festival buses and free rental of Specialized festival bikes.

A chance to see a film even without a ticket: Five minutes before the start of a screening, empty seats in the cinema are released (seats are not guaranteed; admission depends on your position in the queue).

How does it work in practice?

Ticket reservations are made through the Vodafone KVIFF Guide mobile app:

You can reserve up to 3 tickets per day for 3 different films.
Tickets must be picked up in person at the box office no later than 60 minutes before the start of the screening (otherwise the reservation will be forfeited).
If a film is sold out, you still have a chance to get a seat through the "Last Minute" option (entry to the theater 5 minutes before the start, subject to availability).
