When naming contemporary young filmmakers who managed to find a unique style, we have mention Ninja Thyberg, a Swedish director. Her short films use an original way to tackle gender and social stereotypes, sexuality, understanding our own bodies and the concept of desire, power and control and how they are related. Ninja has made nine short films so far, five of which are featured in our program. In none of them characters, situations and relationships work the way you would expect them to.
