The Horizons Section traditionally includes films that succeeded at leading international festivals. The debut of Romanian director Adina Pintilie is no exception to this rule, having been awarded the Golden Bear for Best Film at this year’s Berlinale. Touch Me Not is a daring film that explores human intimacy through its main theme, which is the human body and physical proximity, not only of one person to another, but also in relation to ourselves.
At the first Festival screening of the film, Adina Pintilie invited the audience to Wednesday’s (4 July) KVIFF Talk at the Congress Hall, where all the main cast members will discuss the film with spectators from 01.00 p.m. In her today’s introductory speech, the filmmaker expressed her gratitude to all performers who participated in her conceptual tactile picture: “They are a special group of people who share all their intimacies in the film. This is a key prerequisite for the film to open a dialogue with the audience.”
First-hand brews throughout the year.
