Film synopsis:
AUDRIUS is a 32 years old Lithuanian seaman who comes ashore for the last time to face everyone he has ever loved and cared for. Audrius is generous and fair, passionate and strong. He’s divorced, just like his parents, and has a six years old son. Throughout the story he is driven by a severe lack of time, for he has a terrible secret. Inadequate actions and reactions make sense when we find out what his secret is: he’s dying of Leukemia. We feel for him as he stoically confronts his fate: Denial, Anger, Fear, Bargaining and Acceptance. During a family gathering in his grandmother’s village, surrounded by most of the film’s characters, he makes a final attempt to find resolve and peace.

"FAREWELL" is an insightful contemporary feature set in present day Lithuania; its local port town of Klaipeda, the capital Vilnius and a rural village. Autumn and winter form the backdrop for this human story of Life and Death. "Farewell" is a display of colorful characters in their search for place and meaning. And it is an exploration of the complexity and fragility of human ties and bonds. The film is a moving universal story, uplifting and heart warming, verbally laconic and visually rich. It is a clear-cut story of the human spirit, which is both relentless and immortal.

Producer´s Statement:
The movie will consist of four stories and we already shot two of them. The proposed project needs around 150.000 Euros(50% from the whole budget) for finalizing the film.
The project will be enlisted for the Romanian CNC contest and the chances will be bigger by finding external co-producers.
The story proves to be a tragicomedy, the style of shooting and the tone of the
film it’s very close to WAVES, which is a source of inspiration for this feature film, all characters from it are in the stories. We really believe that the stories, characters, acting, style and especially the humor will make from this film a successful one not only in festivals, like WAVES, but also to the big audience.

Producer´s Statement:
"Gromozeka" is our second film with Vladimir Kott. His debut feature film "Mucha" (“Fly”) was an immense success in Russia and abroad. Simple and frank story of a teenage girl striving for love had a great impact on me, when Volodya first showed me the screen-play. Though at this point I couldn’t predict its extraordinary fortune and great number of awards, among them the BEST FILM award at the XI Shanghai IFF in 2008. It was absolutely out of question for me, whether I am in or not, when Volodya presented his next project. He is one of the most talented directors of his generation. We have been shooting partly with the same crew, which hopefully guarantees us the same production value.

Film synopsis:
Straight after World War II, IGNAT - a man who has just conquered Berlin - finds himself in a small Siberian village, trying to realise his lifetime passion.
Imagine locomotives breaking through freezy transparent snowy landscapes. Raced by a reckless man driven with obsession of speed. A miracle German girl ELSA survived, hiding like a wild animal in the taiga forest throughout the entire war.
The atmosphere of the film is enhanced by images of Siberian taiga, the fast-running river, fast running trains and a human battle against all of them. This is a struggle of women for men, a struggle of man for machine. Who wins this battle? Who is the machine? Who is the human?

Film synopsis:
Four stories of the possible shades of modern parenthood -- The Adoption, The Abortion, The Pregnancy, The Sea –create a picture of life moving faster than we do, forcing us more often to react to events rather than actually planning our lives.
A successful couple, Michal and Zuzana cannot have children and must consider adoption. Young and inexperienced, Pavlina and Filip are pregnant and wrestle with the decision for an abortion. Ukrainians in Prague, Ela and Anton must decide if they can afford their newborn or put it up for adoption. After her daughter’s accident, Irena, an infertility specialist, escapes from Prague, seeking meaning for her crumbling marriage and entire life.

Producer´s Statement:
We all roll the dice in choosing to become a parent or not. None of us can’t escape it. How the dice land can create life’s intimate moments full of great, even let’s say big, emotions. With this in mind, we have aimed to create an “intimate-big“ film. Noteworthy in the process was the fact that the film was scripted without dialogue in order to capture the most authentic and spontaneous performances from actors.
Actors arrived daily to both learn more about and create their fates while two cameras continuously rolled. Thus far, the film has been shot in several locations around the Czech Republic as well as in the Dominican Republic. A week’s worth of shooting still remains in Kenya.

Producer´s Statement:
We both have children. It is clear to us how vital their presence is and how painful it would be to lose them. Stefan is a lost and lonely man, who is blessed with two Chechen ‘war children’.Stefan pulls himself together sufficiently to take them on a journey from Poland to France, where they are reunited with father. For the first time in his life, Stefan isn’t alone. The children, who were brought up by the experience of war more than by their parents, find out that not every stranger is an enemy. There is plenty that divides them. But they manage to make contact by seeking, and finding, those things that unite them. This journey will change them all forever. It will change the audience as well.

Film synopsis:
The Almanac consists of several separated stories. The word “love” and the word “Moscow” are refracted in their own way in every novel, but one thing unites all of them– this movie is about people. Sometimes the huge city makes every little thing for its inhabitants not to find themselves and each other. The film is an anthem to its indomitable citizen and to the paradoxical traction from human to human in general. The audience will see a love-story of guest workers (Shawarma), phantasmagorical parody-parable (Insignificant details of an accidental episode), punk anti-utopia (Tales from the lavatory), biting sex-satire on ourselves (Threesome) and others.

Film synopsis:
Czechoslovakia, 1982. The totalitarian regime seems invincible. Antonín, a member of the secret police, is full of unfocused rage and everything around him – his work and family life – wears him down and bores him. He becomes fixated on Klára, a girl he has no hope of winning. He doesn’t know what he wants from her, but he wants it badly. There is no love – only a burning desire to fulfil the fantasy of escaping from the cage of his boring and meaningless life. Antonín’s senseless struggle turns him against the enemies of the regime but also against his own people and the system itself. It is neither a civic or political gesture, but rather a purely personal and frenzied act of rebellion.

The Snow Queen is an Estonian-Norway co-production and at the moment we are making our first rough cut. The budget of the Snow Queen is about 900 000 EUR and for finishing the project we are looking for 60 000 EUR.
To start the development and production of a feature length film, three conditions have to be met: 1. material that you are reading has to reflect the visual and mental space of the film; 2. the director who wants to do the film has to make you feel that this story is exclusively his; 3. feeling that I want and can do it. Fr me these prerequisites are fulfilled. I as producer believe that this psychological and visually very interesting story cannot leave anyone in affected.

The film will be completed by the end of June, release is planned on the 24th of September, 2009. It’s production budget is about 1,5 million dollars, promotion budget is about 1 million dollars in Russia. Our main object is to take a niche in the Russian film industry. Our goals aren’t very complicated - to return investments and maximize our profit. But they are second-rate goals in the comparison with our main aim - to create a product of the highest artistic quality. This motion picture set thinking about problems that never lose urgency – about the choice between good and evil, about importance of such choice in everyone’s life.

Producer´s Statement:
This is the story of an ordinary family, with all the love and happiness there could be, devastated by the communist system. The film is to evolve as a story of human love. Politics would serve as just a catalyst to the events. “Voice Over” would be a film about the communist system inside the individual and the focus would be on the devastation of human souls.
“Voice Over” is an expected and needed film here in Bulgaria as a part of a process of catharsis. We do believe its message will reach wide audiences also beyond the former communist countries in Europe.
