Pause is a female-driven film produced with a crew which features a significant female participation in most key positions. It deals with the theme of decadent relationships in marriage, viewed through the prism of the complex and fascinating female nature against the loss of one’s voice, the lack of love and the unquenchable desires. We produced this film as we believe in depicting female characters that are real. The film received financial support from the Ministry of Education and Culture of Cyprus, the Greek Film Centre and the SEE Cinema Network. All shooting has been completed. Currently in editing, we are looking for funds or partners to complete the rest of the post-production and music composition. We are also seeking partners for a sales agent, distribution and a world premiere in a prestigious festival.

There is a number of reasons for which I found this project to be fascinating. The main character seems to be trying on different masks, the one of a murderer, the one of a murdered. It appears that neither suits him. Or is there the one which does? This very question I hope won’t leave the audience while actually watching the film. The script Witness to Murder is based on the encounters of a lonely man looking for his own self. The key character is truly captive. Apart from the key theme, there are lots of secondary ones in the script. The secondary characters are replicating the solitude of the main one.The camera operator and the film director both formed their own unique styles.
