Festival Pass and tickets are available only in Karlovy Vary.

Festival Pass

To get the most out of what the festival offers, purchase a Festival Pass that includes:

  • up to 3 free tickets to 3 different festival presentations daily
  • admission to press conferences at the Thermal Hotel – provided the venue is not entirely full - accredited journalists have priority
  • admission to KVIFF Talks
  • admission to additional venues
  • additional tickets can be purchased once your ticket limit has been reached

The same rules for ticket sales apply to collecting free tickets. A Festival Pass card can be purchased at any cash desk from August 19, 2021, and tickets for films can be collected immediately thereafter from the same cash desk. Purchased Festival Pass card can be activated at any ticket desk for the required number of days.

As part of its collaboration with the International Film Festival, the Karlovy Vary Region offers interesting discounts for holders of a Festival Pass. Karlovy Vary – A Living Land is a place where, as our slogan goes, “one day is not enough,” a region that offers many excellent tourist sights worth visiting. The Karlovy Vary Region has chosen the best tourist destinations and put together a set of discounts on admission, valid until the end of 2021. Even if you visit the Karlovy Vary Region before or after the film festival, you will find interesting places to see. The Karlovy Vary Region is a tourist destination that has much to offer.

Tickets

Standard price: 80 CZK
Discount price: 60 CZK *

  • tickets can only be purchased for events on the same day or the following day (for example tickets for films on August 25 can be purchased on August 25 and August 26)
  • August 19 (the day before start of the festival) can be purchased tickets on August 20 and August 21
  • purchased or collected tickets can be returned to the main ticket desks in the Thermal Hotel in the event of an event being changed or cancelled
  • the organisers reserve the right to reclaim seats that have not been occupied by ticket holders at least 5 minutes prior to the start of the event

Reserved tickets that have not been collected at least one hour prior to the start of the event will be released for sale or collection with a Festival Pass at any ticket desk.

Remaining tickets will be available to Festival Pass holders and accredited visitors at the Last Minute desk (on the stairs outside the Thermal Hotel) 15 minutes before the start of the event in question.

The organisers reserve the right to ask viewers who do not respect basic standards of behaviour or Anti Covid measures to leave the cinema.

No dogs are allowed in the cinemas, with the exception of assistance dogs accompanying handicapped individuals.

There are 19 ticket desks available to visitors in and around the Thermal Hotel, as well as the Vodafone ticket desk and Last Minute counter. Another two counters are located in the Grandhotel Pupp and two ones in the tent village.
