The German actor Udo Kier, known for his roles in Lars von Trier's movies Melancholia, Dogville or Nymphomaniac, was an official guest of the KVIFF in 2003.
He returns this year to present two movies at once in which he plays. The first is a Hungarian-Czech-German co-production Zero about a problematic coexistence of people and bees in the very near future, competing in the East of the West section. Its world premiere is scheduled for July 7th at 4 p.m. in the Municipal Theatre. You can also meet him on Friday July 10th at the screening of The Forbidden Room in the Municipal Theatre. In his latest phantasmagoric offering, Guy Maddin demonstrates the indefatigability of his imagination while reinvigorating the spirit of movies that once existed but have been lost forever.
First-hand brews throughout the year.
