The new recepient of the Crystal Globe for Outstanding Contribution to World Cinema, leading film and theatre actor and two-time Oscar nominee Willem Dafoe, will present two of his film at the festival.
On Saturday 2 July at 10.30pm in the Grand Hall, Dafoe will introduce the film Pasolini by Abel Ferrara, about the final day of a mega-personality of Italian cultural and public life: poet, novelist, director, and actor Pier Paolo Pasolini, whose barbaric murder on November 2, 1975 has never been fully explained. The screening will be preceded by a live recording session for the talk show “Na plovárně s Markem Ebenem” with audience participation.
On Sunday 3 July at 11pm, Willem Dafoe will greet the audience at the Outdoor Cinema and present The Last Temptation of Christ, a 1988 American epic drama film directed by Martin Scorsese. The entrance is free for all.
