Submissions for the 59th KVIFF (July 4–12, 2025) are officially open. You can find the Online Film Entry Form HERE.
The programming team, led by artistic director Karel Och, comprises Anna Kořínek, Sandra Hezinová, Petra Vočadlová, Natálie Kozáková and Vojtěch Kočárník.
Lorenzo Esposito, former international consultant for Italy, is becoming an associate programmer. The team of international consultants consists of Jospeh Fahim, Martin Horyna, Hossein Eidizadeh and Arnaud Gourmelen.
Films for the 59th edition can be submitted until 31 March 2025 and must be offered in a world, international or European premiere. Only online screeners are accepted as preview screeners for pre-selection.
Production of the submitted film must have been completed within the twelve months prior to the starting date of the festival. Submitted films must not have been released anywhere in any form (including festival screenings, DVD release, or television or internet broadcast) more than twelve months prior to the starting date of the festival.
All films must be at least 60 minutes long to qualify for submission. The festival does not accept submissions of short and medium-length films (up to 60 minutes). In addition, any film that is solely promotional, educational, or scientific in nature is not eligible for selection by the festival. There is an administration fee for submitting a film.
