Tribute to Břetislav Pojar 2007 / Romance z temnot / Czechoslovakia 1986
Canadian Jacques Drouin is one of only a few filmmakers in the world with a command of the art of pinscreen animation, invented by the Russian Alexandre Alexeieff. Drouin worked on this film for more than two years to create visions of Pojar’s solitary hero, and the result intensifies the dream-like atmosphere of a story about the desire for love and happiness.
