A drone surveys a man who is taking great care of and decorating a pig’s head. Nails, latex, and disturbing radar images. This powerful short film could be seen as a fetishistic dream or a report on the present day, about which absolutely nothing is welcoming.
"A comment on our nightmarish present. Underneath the wings of a MQ-9 Reaper drone, a man is absorbed in his activities, driven by motivations that seem equally fetishistic and scientific.” Thus German artist Moritz Uebele characterizes his short film, a colorful and almost tactile experience built upon an incredibly magnetic mise-en-scène, but under whose surface lurks something decidedly disturbing. This carefully crafted picture is rounded out by a no less ingenious soundtrack that intensifies its dreamlike nature and, more to the point, its subliminal nastiness.
