Dva is an unrelentingly imaginative Czech band. Nipomo is the name of their successful album and also of the inspired and playful song chosen by Marek Partyš for his first music video, which won Best LoFi at the Berlin Music Video Awards.
Every trip into the world of the musical group Dva is a fairytale adventure where you never know when something bizarre might suddenly take a gander at you. It could be a giraffe held captive in a tower protected by a pair of boxing gloves – one of the images Marek Partyš uses to demonstrate just how successfully he managed to align his playful vision with the mesmerizing atmosphere of the title song from the album Nipomo (2014). The dreamlike, playful music drives the animated collage, which derives its internal logic from a world full of creatures and surprising machines that have yet to be discovered.
