In the jungle of Formosa, Argentina, a white man is the leader of a group of local Indians, the socially-excluded Toba tribesmen. He teaches them to play rugby - and to defend their dignity and rights.
In the jungle of Formosa, Argentina, a white man is the leader of a group of local Indians, the socially-excluded Toba tribesmen. He has taught them to play rugby, creating the Aboriginal Rugby Club, and to defend their dignity and their rights. At the same time, this charismatic coach’s past ties him, paradoxically, to extreme ideologies. The most powerful part of the film is the match with the white team – the first ever played by the Indians. Watching its dramatic scenes makes irrelevant the question of whether the film is pure documentary, docudrama or a staged feature film.
