Another View 2001 / Don´s Plum / USA 2000
Just like every Saturday night, a gang of boys plan to meet in the bar known as Don’s Plum. Of course, it is essential that they bring a girl with them. Brad has it all arranged; Sara, whom he’s had his eye on for a while, has agreed to meet his friends. Ian, on the other hand, initially has trouble finding someone, no-one wants to go with him. Then, to his great surprise, the attractive Juliet says she’ll accompany him. Jeremy does it the easy way – he picks up a hitch-hiker in the streets of Los Angeles and finally shows up in the bar with her. Derek’s situation, however, is hopeless and so he turns up on his own. We can pretty much guess what happens next: the boys and girls have a few drinks, talk about life, partnerships, sex, good and bad times. During this carefree, perhaps even reckless gossip, they not only find out more about their friends, but also discover things about themselves.
