A voyage across Beijing with Dezi, a young Beijing taxi driver. A portrait of a city, seeking its identity amidst disappearing ancient values and an unknown future.
Dezi is a young Beijing taxi driver. He meets people whose lives are worlds apart from his. Following Dezi’s taxi, we are taken on a voyage across Beijing. He is always on the move, people and places stream in and out of his life. Dezi’s moves from place to place and woman to woman are much like Beijing’s own search for its identity amidst disappearing ancient values and China’s unknown future.
