Prague Short Film Festival Presents 2016 / Lesapán / Czech Republic 2015
Karel lives for his job as a ranger. In the deserted parts of the forest he manages, poachers succeed in waking up a creature that might well turn out to be Karel’s rival. In fairy tales it’s known as the Whopper, but an encounter with this creature needn’t necessarily have a fairy-tale ending. Karel tries to track it down, but the Whopper is closer than he thinks. There’s a strange bond between the mysterious being and Karel’s daughter, Anička. There can only be one lord of the forest. Who’s it going to be?
