Wregas Bhanuteja (b. 1992, Jakarta, Indonesia) studied film and television at Jakarta Institute of the Arts. In 2011 he directed his first short movie Senyawa on 16 mm. He made his graduation film Lemantun in 2014. His next picture Lembusura was chosen for the Berlin competition in 2015, and his latest movie In the Year of the Monkey (2016) was selected for Critics’ Week at Cannes.
