This cinematic treat for Sam Peckinpah lovers takes a behind-the-scenes’ look at preparations for the cult film The Wild Bunch. Long ago, some silent, black-and-white footage was found in the Warner Brothers archive from the shooting of the acclaimed and, above all, colour western. Editor, film critic and Peckinpah biographer Paul Seydor converted it into a half-hour documentary, the soundtrack comprising the reminiscences of actors and co-workers (e.g Ernest Borgnine and L.Q. Jones), with Ed Harris dubbing the voice of the prematurely deceased director. The film was nominated for a 1997 Oscar in the short documentary category.
