Documentary Films - Competition 2005 / Podorožni / Ukraine 2005
A house surrounded by a garden, inside a corridor, differently equipped rooms - and everywhere you look patients at a psychiatric hospital. They communicate with the doctors and among themselves, they warm themselves in the sun, we hear music, snatches of songs, a lullaby: images appear of faces of those close to them whom they perhaps don’t even remember.
A house surrounded by a garden, inside a corridor, differently equipped rooms and their occupants, patients at a psychiatric hospital. They warm themselves in the sun, we hear music, snatches of songs, a lullaby… Images of faces of those close to them whom they perhaps don’t even remember. What and how do these wayfarers, unwillingly cast out from our lives, perceive in their moments of joy and sorrow? They are like trees in the wind and rain, a painful reminiscence of mothers, women and children…
