Laura Bispuri dealt with this intimate issue in her debut Sworn Virgin, but here she exchanges the Albanian mountain setting for Sardinia. The island, where the traditional concept of family relationships comes up against modern life, inspired the lyrico-magical style of a picture whose melodramatic story brings frequent reminders of traditional Italian cinema.
