He is forced to flee Europe, and so the second part of this cinematic diptych finds him in Terra del Fuego, where Luciano’s untamed energies infect him with gold fever as he goes in search of a treasure that, he hopes, will finally bring him redemption. The film’s captivating scenery is further underscored by its casting and naturalist make-up. The directors’ feature film debut premiered at the Directors’ Fortnight in Cannes.
