In her feature film debut, Filipino director and cinematographer Martika Ramirez Escobar presents a refreshing mix of reality with fantasy, relationship drama with screwball comedy, and cinephilic references with movie stereotypes. This formally varied, action-packed, and hyperbolic independent film took home the Special Jury Award from the Sundance Film Festival.
