Synopsis
Anna lives with her daughter in a remote Alpine village – a place whose inhabitants live closely interconnected lives moving to a constant rhythm determined by the changing seasons. Her love for Marco, who comes to the village to help on the farm, introduces new energy into her life. But the joy of building a relationship and a shared future is soon tempered by Marco’s sudden losses of control... Michael Koch empathetically tells a story of love put to the test, using carefully cast and guided non-actors and authentic locations to evocatively convey the hard life of farmers in the Swiss Alps, far removed from the kitschy pictures found in tourist brochures.
