Jake Paltrow returns to Karlovy Vary fifteen years after presenting his comedy The Good Night, this time with an original look at the infamous trial of Adolf Eichmann, the architect of the mass extermination of Jews during the Second World War. In depicting the events preceding Eichmann’s execution, Paltrow approaches the important and much publicized Nazi criminal through the eyes of three participants in these events. His thrilling yet, at its core, empathetic and humanist film explores new possibilities for the interpretation of history while asking questions related to the (re-)creation of the identity of a Jewish nation burdened by the horrors of the Holocaust.
