Three mercenaries manage to capture a drug dealer along with his loot – gold and a large supply of narcotics. They then flee with their hostage to Dakar, but a technical malfunction forces them to make an emergency landing in a mystical island region filled with violence and supernatural forces where even the most closely-guarded secrets rise to the surface.
Three mercenaries who call themselves the Bangui Hyenas manage to capture a drug dealer along with his loot – gold and a large supply of narcotics. They then flee with their hostage to Dakar, but a technical malfunction forces them to make an emergency landing in a mystery-shrouded region filled with violence and supernatural forces. In an attempt to remain under the radar, they hide in an isolated tourist resort, but the arrival of a mysterious deaf girl and a suspicious police captain threatens to reveal their true identities – for in the cursed land, few things remain hidden. This hybrid Senegal film – a mix of crime thriller, mystery horror, and spaghetti Western – pulls the viewer in with its chilling atmosphere, distinctive camera work, and wild explosions of action.
