Eric, Rachel, Maggie. Three siblings once connected by a strong bond, which was then broken by the process of growing up and separation. Eric repeatedly avoids any debate about the past, yet when he takes a brief trip back home, he can’t escape confrontation with his sisters. What’s more, the thought of getting together with his old poker group is too enticing for him to leave as planned. This acidly comic yet sorrowful sibling drama relies on a prosaic visual language and offers a subtle insight into complex family constellations, where there is love but no functional tools of communication. Is it possible to address the past through our childhood selves? After all, we don’t have to give up our children’s games in adulthood, or do we?
