After X and Pearl, director Ti West presents the final instalment in his trilogy. The films are linked not just by the characters of Maxine and Pearl, but also by the desire to break into Hollywood and achieve global fame. After working in adult films for some time, it finally looks like Maxine’s dream is about to come true. But the sudden appearance of a mysterious killer who begins to terrorize the streets of Hollywood nevertheless may end up revealing her terrifying past. A slasher set in the neon-lit streets of 1980s Los Angeles, MaXXXine boasts a soundtrack to go with the era.
