Souleymane is in a race against time. His immigration interview is in just two days, but he still needs to earn the money for the necessary documents and to memorize the fictional story of his journey from Africa to Europe. Using a borrowed account, he cycles through the busy streets of Paris delivering food as fast as he can. Will it be enough? Mixing a gritty street aesthetic with an understated humanist charm, this social drama presents one small story of migration from a fresh and complex perspective. What difficulties do migrants face, and is it even possible to go through such a journey without losing one’s self in the process? The extraordinarily convincing Abou Sangaré excels in his first film role.
