Russell Crowe: The Crystal Globe for Outstanding Artistic Contribution to World Cinema went to actor and director Russell Crowe – two-time Oscar-winner and recipient of two Golden Globes.
Alicia Vikander: A Festival President’s Award went to Swedish actress Alicia Vikander.
Ewan McGregor: A Festival President’s Award went to actor, director, and producer Ewan McGregor.
Robin Wright: A Festival President’s Award went to American actress and director Robin Wright.
Awards
On July 8, 2023, the festival’s juries announced the awards for the best films of the 57th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. The awards were presented during the festival’s closing ceremony.

In 2023, the 57th Karlovy Vary International Festival was attended by 10,989 accredited visitors, including:
- 9 085 visitors with a Festival Pas
- 423 filmmakers
- 942 accredited film industry professionals
- 537journalists
The festival sold a total of 123,517 tickets to 445 film screenings. Of the 185 films presented at the festival, 116 were feature-length fiction films, 28 were feature-length documentaries, and 41 were short films.
The films shown at the 57th KVIFF included 36 world premieres, 11 international premieres, and 5 European premieres. 188 screenings were personally introduced by a delegation representing the film’s creative team.
Daniela Kolářová: The Festival President’s Award for Contribution to Czech Cinema went to actress Daniela Kolářová.
